This is a detail of a new painting I just dropped off at the Hive Gallery lastnight. “Lily” can be seen at their opening reception this Saturday night! Very sweet and darling in person…

Opening this weekend!

This Saturday night is the opening of the group show “Seven” at I-5 Gallery located at the Brewery. The show features seventeen artists exploring the duality and challenging traditional views of both the 7 sacraments and the 7 sins. I’m pretty excited to see everyone’s perspective on these age-old ideas. Artist/Curator Stephanie Mercado has assembled a great group of artists, so you should check it out!

Like the complete re-tard that I am, I forgot to take a picture of my painting before I delivered it. So I guess you will just have to go and see it in person.

On a side note: I found a house! Fifth time IS a charm. Martha Stewart move over, this gal has a vision.

Busy and Some Change

evolving-present.jpg

I have been house hunting so much it seems like houses should be near extinction.  Ok, I’m not Dane.  But I think this time, I might have found a house.  Fifth times a charm right?

In between strolls down the 91 and teaching art to youngin’s, I have also been working on art!  This work on paper is one such example.  You can find prints of it in my Etsy Shop.  I am also working on a new piece for the upcoming “Seven” show that opens in a few weeks.  I am pretty excited how it is turning out.  Stay tuned for a pic…

In other news, the UAM Auction is officially up and running online.  There is so much great art, and I am so excited to be a part of it!  I am also really excited for the main event on September 15 that includes a live auction, a robotic opera, delicious cuisine, and more.  Count me in for sure.
