Upcoming Show!

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Sorry I’m not writing a bunch lately. My quarter at school started again and this time I am a TA! But alas, I have been painting a good amount so I will post some pics soon.

Meanwhile, here is a show at ISM Gallery at Koo’s Art Center that I’m dropping a piece off for this weekend and the opening is the following weekend. It’s a pretty big show! Wow…look at all those artists, will ya Ralph?

“The braziere that crossed my heart”

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

I just dropped off this painting at the Hive Gallery for their next show that opens tonight. This is a funny little painting that I really like a lot. I don’t paint too many bras but I sure wear them quite often! I remember the “cross your heart” bras from when I was little like it was some rite of passage. And lo and behold, what at once is a rite of passage, can be a sign of sensuality, but then of course a big fat nuisance. (As many garments often are) I’m pretty sure we’re the only animals that wear bras, and sometimes I wish I could just wake up a Pudu.

Anyways, in case anyone needs a lift and some lovely shaping, I recommend the bra that crosses your heart while drenched in the pink moonlit night.
