Show & Tell: Spoonflower

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Well, it’s never too late to start a new column on your own blog.  Let’s call it: Show and Tell.  I happened upon this great site with a great idea - custom printed fabrics.   Yep.  The folks at Spoonflower are making our crafty artist dreams possible with the capability to custom print our own designs onto fabric, which we can then in turn make things with, because that’s what we like to do: make things.  Well, check it out!

Who DID Make It Into the Show?

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I finally made my way down to the Riverside Art Museum to take some photos of my work in the show. It’s always fun to have the space to try to things, new ways of installation and also thinking about which works work well with others and which don’t.

Here are some photos:

Who Didn’t Make It in the Show?

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

When you’re dealing with a lot of paintings and each of them want to be in the limelight, invariably some get cut from the list. As was the case with Lemon Merengue. Maybe she is too confident for her own good, or maybe she burned some bridges…we will never know. But, what we do know, is her and some others have been added to the Gallery! I guess this is like those movies that go straight to DVD.

Anyways, check out some of my new work, and stay tuned for photos from the show at the Riverside Art Museum, up until June 21.
