Swishing Paint Is Fun!

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Well I finally had a weekend to do nothing but paint! And out of nowhere came this new color palette. Well, maybe its not new to you, but it feels new to me. I was thinking my stuff has been pretty saturated lately, and its really easy to see that when looking at photos of your work, ie. on the computer. So I kinda got this purply gray thing going on and I kinda like it! And these really soft pinks….who knew!?!

Check out these works in progress. They are not committed to being done, and I reserve the right, being the artist and all, to change and manipulate these however life permits. So we’ll see where things go! I’ll keep you updated. Also, you might recognize these a little, as most are things I’ve posted on before in the works in progress section. Hmmmm….

Around the House…

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

I have been keeping myself quite busy between working, teaching, making art, hanging with my beau, making food, and finally making my house feel more and more like a home!

I have been working on this little path with my niece Jessica for a while now. One day it will be done! Notice to the right of the path, I have started some little plants, like a tomato and a cucumber and the rest are perennials. But I guess the main event so far is the path.

This is our wild back yard, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to make a dent in it, but that’s ok:

Lily loves helping and keeping a watch out:

Mustn’t forget this cute little breakfast nook off the kitchen! Darling!
