Courtney Oquist is a full-time independent artist currently based in Huntington Beach.  She received her MFA in Visual Art from UC Riverside in 2010, and her BFA in Drawing and Painting from Cal State Long Beach in 2005.  Oquist specializes in oil painting, but works in many media, including acrylics, watercolors, jewelry and wood.   A member of the Huntington Beach Art Center family since 1998, Oquist has taught a variety of art classes since 2007 that invite all age groups to explore the fanciful world of painting and drawing.
